| I've spent the morning studying for our upcoming Medicinal Biochemistry test. This section is especially interesting to me because we've been covering vitamins and nutrition. One of the vitamins we covered is Vitamin B6 (which is activated to pyridoxal phosphate in the body, for all you biology nerds). B6 is required for many bodily functions among them biosynthesis of myelin. (for all the non-science folk, this is basically something that coats the axons of nerve fibers, thereby allowing nerve impulses the travel faster).
I understand the many negative effects a deficiency in B6 can cause...but what about an overdose? Although this would be highly uncommon (since B6 is water soluble the body would probably flush out any excess within a day or so), but what if....
Wikipeida says this about an O.D. "An overdose of pyridoxine can cause a temporary deadening of certain
nerves such as the proprioceptory nerves; causing a feeling of
disembodiment common with the loss of proprioception." Proprioception is defined as the sense of the position of parts of the body, relative to other neighboring parts of the body. Wiki goes on to explain how this concept is used by the police for drunk driving tests (like trying to touch your hand to your nose etc.)
So and O.D. of Vitamin B6 would lead to affects similar to being drunk.
Maybe this could be the next high school recreational drug. Cool side effects, not long lasting, and can be bought at any store (kind of like sniffing glue).

| Lately (yesterday) I've become obsessed with the Ikea website. However two things block my desire to fill the new house with ikea 1) Ikea ships few items (most you have to buy from their stores 2) Ikea (like most things) has avoided the Midwest like the plague.
This leaves only one option...Roadtrip!
Because every new house needs one of these

(if anybody can figure out what this is, I'd be interested...because it looks...dirty)

| What Colors Should We Paint Our New House??
This is one of the most fun/time wasting web sites. You can pick different colors to produce a color palette and then select a room to create using your colors. Pretty cool.
